Does microneedling hurt?
We apply a topical numbing cream for 20–30 minutes before the treatment, so most clients are comfortable throughout. The sensation is typically described as a light vibration or pressure. Some areas — like around the nose or forehead — may feel more sensitive than others, but the numbing keeps it very manageable. You’ll be able to speak with us throughout if anything needs adjusting.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on your concern and your skin’s response. For mild texture or preventative collagen support, 2–3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart often delivers significant results. For more significant acne scarring or deeper skin concerns, we typically recommend a series of 4–6 sessions. I’ll set realistic expectations at your consultation and track progress together.
Is SkinPen safe for darker skin tones?
Yes — SkinPen Precision is clinically validated as safe for all Fitzpatrick skin types, including deeper complexions. Unlike certain laser treatments that carry a risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation in darker skin, microneedling doesn’t use heat and is widely considered one of the safest corrective options for melanin-rich skin. What's the difference between the standard session and the Growth Factor upgrade?

How long until I see results?
